This fine example of a Spanish Colonial Wedding Bowl has an applied Chippendate rim and dates to the mid 18th century (possibly earlier) and was probably made in Colombia. It is heavy for its size, the silversmith is unknown and there are no marks, which suggests an artisanal piece that was not tax paid.
